Jordan

To tourists, Petra is almost synonymous to Jordan. If they truly believe that, they would miss the beauty of Jordan. Roman relics in Amman are well preserved, with a Roman amphitheatre situated right in the heart of the city. Going south, a swim in the Dead Sea or a dive in the Gulf of Aqaba will allow you to recharge yourself. Photographers will enjoy the Mars-alike landscape in Wadi Rum, which was used in the film The Martian (2015). After a day in the desert, you can ride camel back to a Bedouin camp and savour traditional Jordanian food.
